College-run hostel where students train in hospitality on Koh Samui
Concept & Mission
BBVC Hostel Collegestay is a vocational training hostel run by 300 underprivileged Thai students learning hotel management and hospitality. Every stay directly funds free education and practical experience for these young students. Guests support a social enterprise while enjoying hands-on service from trainees supervised by professional staff.
Rooms & Accommodations
The hostel offers single beds in mixed, male, and female dormitories, plus private double rooms with private bathrooms. Each room includes air-conditioning, a work desk, free toiletries, and slippers. Guests also receive a free bottle of water and towels, with some beds providing shower gel and a toothbrush kit.
Dining & Breakfast
A buffet breakfast is served daily, including fresh eggs from the hostel's own chicken farm and made-to-order omelettes by students. The meal also offers toast, fruit, salad, ham, sausage, fresh orange juice, tea, and coffee. All breakfast ingredients come from the college's own farm, providing farm-to-table dining.
Activities & Wellness
Guests can book bicycle rentals, bike tours, walking tours, and cooking classes on site. The hotel offers a range of massages: back, couples, foot, full body, hand, head, neck, and Thai massage. Additional services include car hire, dry cleaning, ironing, and a shared lounge/TV area with key access.
Location & Transport
The hostel sits 22 km from Samui International Airport, 9 km from Grandfather's Grandmother's Rocks, and 26 km from Big Buddha.
